Many couples at this period of time have been having problems in conceiving a baby. One of the reasons for this may be that they are not aware that they might have higher chances of getting pregnant during ovulation. They have tried over and over again but still end up with just a pleasurable moment of sex rather than conceiving a fruit of love.
Perhaps they may have not monitored their ovulation period that is why they are still not having success at all. Couples should be considering the importance of this particular part of the woman’s cycle. And upon knowing its importance, couples may have an increased chance of getting pregnant during ovulation.
But first, what is ovulation? Ovulation is the part of the woman’s menstrual cycle wherein the estrogen hormone is optimally produced. This estrogen hormone is responsible for the production of egg cells. The ovaries consequently produce the egg cell as the cycle instigates. This egg cell then goes down from the ovaries, to the fallopian tube, and finally, to the uterus. Although there is no 100 percent guarantee that the woman will get pregnant during the ovulation, there is still a good chance of fertilizing an egg cell in this period.
The menstrual cycle of women vary from other women. Some may have cycles that last from around 25 days to 29 days while some would even reach around 35 days. But the average range of a woman’s menstrual cycle is around 28-32 days. Within these days, the ovulation of a woman would approximately be around the 11th to the 21st days of the menstrual cycle. Women may have an earlier or later ovulation depending on the natural length of the cycle. Women will basically be ovulating earlier if their menstrual cycles are quite short, while they will have a later ovulation period if their menstrual cycle is a long period of time.
As mentioned earlier, the better chance of getting pregnant during ovulation is during the optimum days would be the 11th day to the 21st days. The position of the egg cell is very suitable in this period because the egg cell is easier for the sperm cells to reach as it is positioned nearer to the cervix.
Moreover about ovulation, the ovulation period of a woman has two particular phases. The two different phases in a woman’s ovulation cycle is the follicular phase and the luteal phase. In the follicular phase, the beginning period for this particular phase is around 7 days to 21 days. Basically, the follicular phase begins along with the start of the menstrual cycle. The follicular phase is where the production of egg cell is actually happening.
Meanwhile in the luteal phase, the start of the phase is around 12 days to 16 days. This is also the time wherein the ovulation stops and the next cycle is again to begin as soon as another menstrual cycle starts. Couples should always take note of these two phases to increase the chance of getting pregnant during ovulation.
As aforementioned, there is no 100 percent guarantee that a woman could get pregnant during ovulation. However, the chances of maximizing the odds are very likely. Women must take to consideration the knowledge of their own body. In theory, a woman is capable of getting pregnant as soon as they have gone through puberty. But the key to a higher chance of getting pregnant during ovulation relies on the prediction of a woman’s ovulation.
A woman is basically at its best fertile form between 4 days to 5 days before the ovulation. Women should also know that they only have the utmost of 2 days before the completely fertile egg cell deteriorates. They should also know that the sperm cells of males have the capability of surviving around 4 to 5 days in the female’s body. With these, couples should have a particular schedule in having sex so as to maximize the chances of getting pregnant during ovulation.
